Greetings Mr. Minister:

I wanted to introduce myself to you because we have many interests in Common.   Firstly, I am a peacemaker and have followed the path of a Peacemaker for a number of years.  My story is on my website: www.homeplanet.org

What may interest you in my story is the Land Claim in Toronto that I am championing.  The First Nations Indigenous Trust has made a formal claim on the lands South of Front Street (under the Toronto Land Claim), and through that effort, I am in communications with Mr Baird at Treasury Board, and MR Canon at the Department of Transport.  Letters of communication are available on my website - www.homeplanet.org - click on my Name - Mitchell Gold and you can find the letters that I am referring to above.   I want you to   be aware of these documents because I want you to feel at ease with regards to the Claim we are making - and having me as Mayor will only enhance our ability to negotiate and settle ALL land Claims in Ontario.  In this way, you may have a vested interest in having me be Mayor rather than Mr. Miller, who clearly thinks nothing about this possibility.

I would like you to know that I can do this easier as Mayor than I can as an ordinary Citizen.  That is why I am running for Mayor and I will be such if you follow the rules that I bring to your attention.  These rules are not complicated.  And following them may serve world peace, and the peace in our country, and the peace in our city.

You sir have the destiny of  the world on your finger tips - and the funny thing about this - it is true.

This gets me to my purpose in writing - not that the above is related to it at all.   I did want you to be aware of the larger issues that may be involved in our relationship.

My complaint is minor - yet significant.

Is a simple matter of procedure and protocol that I would like your advice on as Minister of Municipalities.

In the course of my campaign for the Mayorship of the City of Toronto, I came to notice that Mr. David Miller has not filled out his nomination form correctly.

I noticed this and pointed the mistake out to the Clerk along with opinions on language from the Federal Post Office, as well as pertinent quotes from the Municipality Act.

In my humble opinion, Mr David Miller , Lawyer, has filled out his Nomination form incorrectly - and his Nomination must be,  in  the terms of the Act - Rejected.

I do not write the laws, and I find the rules often get in the way of the way I am and think.  After all I am a Global Accountant - dealing in a Chartered Accountants world.  A responsibility I value, and quite often, I must say I am quite proud of.

In this capacity, I write to you and ask you to question the Solicitor of the City of Toronto and find out if the Nomination Form is going to be Rejected - or NOT.

And if not - for what reason.

Clearly the rules must be followed.  Clearly there is no other consequence available other than to reject the Nomination form.

All the details are on my site, and if you would have one of your associates contact me to let me know that this request for an opinion is TIME  SENSITIVE.

I look forward to hearing back from you in a very timely manner.

Peace
