Here is a picture worth more than its weight in Gold. It surreal quality sums up the recent Toronto Mayor campaign. Mitch Gold had asked the Mayor to respond to a question: "Why not explore at how the First Nations Human Rights issues in the area of accountability and financing of the peoples of Toronto might be used by the City for all the peoples". Mr. Miller prevaricated on the issue and as one can see Mitch Gold is chagrined by the response. This was the first of many prevarications of the Mayor as he danced through questions much like the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz The amber piece (Heart of Africa) is attempting to shed light to the people. The Newspapers have not yet reported in the Toronto area on the Rights of the People and how and why the people need to work together to resolve their local issues. People to people. The First Nations Peoples know how to do this - the Mayor clearly does not.
The Heart of Amber had been promised to Bono as recognition for raising 100 billion dollars for the children of Africa - Bono's Product Red is a process taken from the One Per Cent solution program of Mitch Gold and will realize $300 million this year. Good - but not enough. Compared to the Mayor - Bono is a blessing - at least had the courtesy to hear our ideas. Honouring the Heart of Africa is another story..
