As you know from previous e-mails, he has no savings and has substantial debts. We are working on all fronts to minimize his financial needs. He is covered by Medicare and Blue Cross for medical expenses -- which do not include "complimentary" approaches.

He has four areas of financial need:
1. Regular living and healing expenses for himself which run about $1500 - 2000 a month.
2. Support payments to his ex-wife which are $2500 a month.
3. Payment of credit card debt from previous years.
4. Funds for production of new work in 1998.

Many people have made generous personal contributions in the last couple of months. For that, we give our deep gratitude. Those funds have helped Robert get set up in his new apartment in Spokane and have eliminated the need to worry about earning money during the operation and initial convalescence.

We need help from you on three fronts:

A. Any ideas or leads to private foundations or corporations we should be approaching to support Robert's work in the coming year.

B. If you have contacts, time, energy or insight, assistance in approaching some of those entities.

C. If you are able, personal contributions to help in support of Robert. Please let me know by return e-mail what you think you might be able to contribute at the end of this year, and/or in 1998.
