Dear Friend: Re: A Culture of Peace
I am sending this to you, as you have either expressed interest in our activity,
or you are currently involved in some capacity with the nature of the work.
We are working with the leaders in the Peace Movement around the world. To that
end you may review our upcoming Culture of Peace conference in Madrid where we
will be speaking to the issue of a new Social Contract which is one of four issues
that this conference will address. Our presentation will center around global
education, and how money and education are inextricably linked in the process
of achieving a culture of peace. Within that context we will be bringing forth
a strategy that includes a global contribution. This contribution is voluntary
and will be processed as a brand label program. Those participating in our research
model will be the first beneficiaries (from a business point of view) of this
global strategy.
Our program utilizes the best that is available to-day in proactive thinking on
how we might achieve peace in our time. We are presenting a living working model
in Madrid.
After Madrid, it will be necessary to establish the control and spend mechanism.
We are designing this into our presentation through the discussion of a Spiritual
Forum. This Spiritual Forum has a steering committee, that has been working for
the past five years on developing the discussion. Also during these past years,
pressure has been brought at the UN for the Development of an Indigenous Peoples
Forum. In the last session, the Secretary General has endorsed, and the General
Assembly has approved the development of such a Forum.
It is in the interest of all of us to look to the UN process as a guide, and develop
a Forum that is more inclusive than what I understand the UN process to be. (16
members - elitist selection process)
To that end, I am writing to suggest that we host a Gathering of Elders in Toronto
Canada ( the meeting Place) to discuss 1) the nature and formation of a Spiritual
Forum, 2) how the Indigenous Peoples Forum might interact with our Forum, in the
development of the Spend and Control Function of the funds generated through our
program/process.
The purpose of this letter is to solicit your input into the process, and open
the door for you and your constituency to participate. I would like to select
a time for such a Gathering early in the New Year -possibly the March 21 Equinox.
Sacred time, sacred place.
We look forward to hearing from you as early as possible.
Sincerely,
Mitchell Gold
